My thai lawyer tells me i need all the items below ti get the yellow book in mine and my wifes name.

First do i need the tor ror 13 to buy a new car.

She got the information from Pattaya Cityhall, anyone who wants to have the Yellow Ta Bien Bann ( To Ro 13 ) must have the following;

1. Live in Thailand by have 1 year visa

2. Residence in Pattaya ceritficate from Immigraion

3. Passport must be translated in Thai and need certify by Ministry of Foreign Affairs

4. Guarantee certificate from Embassy or birth certificate or family ceritficate or document from land office (sale contract) or other documents to mention the given name , surname, date of birth , father-mother names)

5. 3 photos (size 1 inc)

6. Need 2 Thai witness with ID card and house registration book

Short answer: No!

Keep going to different dealerships until you find one that accepts your passport's visa and 'Letter of Residence' from Thai Immigration.

As with many things here in LOS, nothing is consistent. For instance, what about ex-pats who rent? I easily bought my car with only the two above documents.

Short answer: No!
