Hi All,

Is it possible to apply for a Schengen Visa for a holiday to Spain / France whilst living here in the U.K on a settlement visa?

My Wife is Thai.

Many Thanks

Schengen visa applications can be applied for in the UK, but not from UK offices because they are not part of it, one has to go the Schengen connected states embassies ... France, Belgium, Italy, Holland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, etc. a total of 26 countries now.

In the UK, go to the embassy of the country you want to visit, and the received visa gives you the right to travel through any of the other Schengen states.

As you want to visit two countries then she should apply to the embassy of your main destination, or if touring then the country you'll enter first.

Read the form and document requirements carefully

As she is the wife of an EU national (assuming you are) then most of the questions and required documents wont apply to her and the visa will be free; provided she is travelling with or to join you.
