^ Same. Good ride. Feels light and low to me, but Im used to a Pajero. We changed out the wheels to the 2.0 litre 17" version with Yokohama's. Grips well.

What about K's per litre ?

Any road noise increase with 17" and the Yoks ?

I think the O.P. is enquiring about the latest Boring Models like mine, not Boy Racer ones Must admit it feels low to me after working for CAT Machinery .cheesy.gif

One nice thing is the power. 2000.RPM=107 KPH. Floor it from there and it pulls fast to 200Kph. Not bad for an Old Mans Tub .I'll just chuck in the good points as they come to mind. Can't understand why the Toyota Sportivo has so much less road noise though. The Civics worst point. Having tried the Ford and Cruze, i rate a Mazda 3 and Nissan Syflus way above them on Auto Box alone. Would have gone for Mitsu G.T.as 1St choise, but the Car Service in on par with Chev/Ford.. CRAP.thumbsup.gif

I'm not going to be buying it or driving it, my wife is that's why I'm asking the questions on her behalf,

She has more sense than asking her Thai friends so asked me to ask on TV.

Based on the previous model (not sure if the engine was tweaked in the new one), the 1.8 would give about 12 km/l and 2.0 about 10 km/l around town / combined cycle. Those are real world figures and not from the manufacturer. My only experience is with the k20A3 and that usually gets me 10 km/l or less around Nonthaburi. The 1.8 will do better.

Do they still do a 2.0 and a 1.8 Civic???

I get 15kpl.on Fuel costing 23.4per litre E85. Yes they doai 2Litre,but never seen one.As for a re map, dont know of anyone i trust who can do it here. Dont do Cities, so 17Kpl isnt unusuall on the Hi Ways. One nice thing,it blows SUVs away when they sit on yer back daily.coffee1.gif

Another thought.I got the Navi because i didn't want to wait. Too expensive for just a Sat Nav,cause i still use my old Garmin, its much better.Get the next Model down for value.coffee1.gif

15 km/l is pretty good and better than the previous models, and on E85 that's fantastic...

Cruise Control uses more fuel by the way.The Urban Myth of E85 using more will never die until those who haven't got it,find out themself. If it does use more in City driving,i have no right to disagree with that.Rarely do any.Strange thing is the BEST STUFF gains you absolutely bugger all.thumbsup.gif

Do you believe anything pop says, he says it does 200Kph. maybe in his wet dreams.

Big difference from 165 to 200 maybe if you fit a sock over the intake it might work.

Rather than a sock just bounce it on the speed limiter that is set for 200km/h (120mph).

I think I would tend to agree on both, on cruise control (whenever I use it, the revs stay blocked at just under 2.000 rpm for 80 kph vs generally 1.700 rpms on "manual" - that alone consumes more fuel, mechanically), and on the lack of interest in paying for the "best stuff" (see my experience with Vpower diesel reported elsewhere).

As for the Rev Limiter, it cuts in a just below 7000 RPM and makes you jump.By then 2 things happen .Its doing 200KPH, and about 7.KPL.and a Superbike passes you like your standing still on that Super HiWay into Krabi. The Biker did nothing wrong, nice to see a well turned out Bike and Rider.thumbsup.gif

200 km/h is believable....but that's pretty much maxxed out for a 1.8. The 8th gen 2.0 could do 220 km/h, while my 7th gen was rated at 208 km/h - only ever pushed it to 180 km/h...and that was an accident...was trying to redline in 3rd but actually I was in 4th lol. Even a jazz gets to 190 or close to it. Either way economy sucks at these kinds of speeds.

Opinions vary a lot on that.

Only amongst the Theory Merchants, of low millage .They can't evaluate the upcoming conditions like a brain. They only deter heavy footed drivers from overtaking,in that respect they save i suppose.Personally i don't use it muchcoffee1.gif

I think AoP should have said "can use more fuel". He's right though, when I'm cruising in my pick-up (empty or loaded) it tries to maintain the same speed all the time so here go constant downshifts going up hills and even steep downhills when it shifts one or 2 gears down and rev the engine using the engine breaking to keep the speed constant.

If I drive it myself, I don't mind a slight speed decrease going uphills and I just kick in into N if it's a long way downhill.
