TOMTOM app

Featured Replies

The TOMTOM (SE Asia) app for iPads is brilliant. This under $50 download really works very well here in the Bangkok area. The GPS reader operates with the unit at almost anyplace in the car. It very accurate in showing and naming streets. Not only does it show your speed but it also shows the posted speed limits on the road on which you are traveling. I used it for the first time yesterday on a drive from BKK to Sena and back. It probably has a lot of features that I have yet to discover.

Welcome to the wonderful world of GPS navigation.

Anyone tried to TomTom SEA Android version?

Having just taken a look. It seems to be OK. I'll find out in a few days when I arrive.

FWIW Sygic has had the better iPad app for the last 2 years. Though tomtom may now have managed to equal them. Garmin is still an iPhone app so not good on an iPad.

TomTom on the iPad still hasn't caught up with Sygic.

TomTom still looks like an iPhone app while Sygic in landscape mode has extra information, but if you want less information and more map then use portrait mode.

I thought that Sygic uses the TomTom maps.
