mca
Just returned from an extended trip back to the UK and realized that I'd made a mistake and the 400k for an extension of my stay won't be in the bank for the necessary 2 months prior to extending. What I plan to do is go to immi just prior to the extension date and apply for the 60 day "visiting Thai wife" option. Then return to immi at the end of that period and extend for a year a per usual because the money will then have been seasoned for the required period. Is this feasible? Many thanks
Mario2008
Yes, that is the way to go.
mca
Many thanks Mario. I'm really kicking myself over this. 17 extensions already you would have thought I'd have it sorted by now!
elgordo38
In Chiang Mai immigration they require 90 days seasoning. I was short by 2 weeks last year and had to return. They gave me a 2 week extension in the meantime
Baerboxer
Yes - I did exacltly the same this year. No problems. They gave 60 day extension and then a year when I went back.
