With my mom, I could see burning the house down if she did cook. She made cow's tongue and brain (she grew up in France), and once made avocado and black pepper soup. Another time, she made me eat a whole liter of white sugar because there was a tiny little bit of purple cool-aid powder mixed with it. My psychological profile predicted I'd grow up to be a homosexual, with a mother like that. I bucked the trend.
