Non - Imm. - O Visa Extension ?

Featured Replies

Having a non-immigrant-O visa for one year ( until December 2004 ), multiple entry : Is it possible to extend this form of visa, let's say in November 2004 for the next year ?? Or is it necessary to get a new one year multiple entry non-immigrant-O - visa ???

In case it can be extended for the second year : What are the requirements ??

How much money has to be on your bank - account ?? What else is needed ??

Where to extend that visa ???

For any advise I will be very thankful.

Kiko

Are you married to a Thai or have a work permit? On what basis do you have a multi entry non immigrant visa? There is information on the main board with requirements for various types of extensions if you have not read that yet.

Thank you very much, Lopburi3.

No, I didn't read so far on the mainboard the different types of extensions and requirements.

No, I am not married to a Thai, I got my multiple entry non-immigrant-O for one year at the Thai Consulat in Germany very easily, just by proving to have 400,000 Baht on my Thai - account.

Dear Lopburi3,

What do you mean with mainboard ???

How to go to that mainboard ??

Where to find the different types of extension for different visas ??

Sorry, I do not see any "MAINBOARD" topic

Kiko

Dear Roger,

I am German and 48 years old.

. . . .and, Roger, I applied in Germany just only by asking for a one year, multiple - entry as I would like to meke holidays for one or more than one year at all and all around in Asia.

. . . . . . .. sorry, but that all still doesn't give me the answer on the very easy question, whether non- immigrant - O - visa is entitled to receive an extension or non - immigrant - O - visa has to be applied for every year for a new - one.

You cannot get an extension of that present visa until you reach 50 years of age.

Hi Kiko,

So I expect you have now seen from the main site

that Non Imm 'O' is normally given for Retirement or

if you are married to a Thai.

As Dr P.P. has mentioned you do not qualify for

a retirement extension. Are you married to a Thai?

I have not heard of it being given to a Tourist.

With an 'O' you can expect to receive a 90 day

stay each time you enter the Kingdom.

If you re-enter just before your Visa Expires

you can hope to get another 90 days giving

you a potential overall stay of 15 months.

You can only hope that you will be given another

'O' in Germany when you need it.

Enjoy

Roger

PS - It is a good idea to remember that the

word "entitled" should really not be

used when refering to Immigration matters.

Immigration Officials can refuse anything.
