Elephant trekking?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have some family visiting with kid, so got to plan an elephant trekking. Any suggestions since there are quite a few ??

Between, No way, I ll let them go in these crazy safari jeeps, I d rather drive them where the trekking takes place

Thanks!

I would suggest Namuang Waterfall 2

Elephant trecking is boring at the best of times, but at least they will see the cocodiles in the crodile farm there.

I took my Thai staff there last year and they loved it .

Just remembered that I took my wife's family there a few years back. I explained that I managed rental villas and asked for some brochures. They gave me a kick-back for bringing the group. Sorry - I suppose that is called a commission.

Heading towards Bophut lights from Chaweng, past the last entrance to Old Soi Monkey, turn left at the Family Mart a camp 200 meters down on your left.

Not Soi Monkey, the road after it closest to the Bophut lights.biggrin.png

Or you can rent one and trek down the beach! whistling.gifwink.png

More seriously though, Namuang 2 is great.... the waterfalls there are good too! thumbsup.gif

Might be worth a mention that they're very short trips (30-40 minutes), you don't go far, and to the best of my recall seemed really expensive . . . something like 800 baht each?

I'm sure I'll get corrected here!
