Neilly
I dont know how accurate but Hiro Motopic on FB is usually 100% Anyway from what I can tell he is saying the z1000 sale was to shock? but clear stock & this is what is arriving I think he said arrive August & deliver Sept? This is the 800 right? Or is it a new z1000? Yeah the Z800 Mania http://www.motomag.com/spip.php?page=diapo&id_article=14546&id_document=51522ℑ=Nouveaute-2013-Kawasaki-Z800-coloris&compteur=5#ancrealbum
BSJ
I am hoping I am wrong but it would appear, from reading between the lines, that the Z800 is to be priced ridiculously close to the old price of the Z1000. Which probably means Kawasaki have done what all corporate c0ck suckers have done in the past and will continue to do in the future, and that's screw the consumer for corporate greed. where are these lines? I guess if it comes in at 430k which is my estimate then its 120k less then the z1k price of today but 230k less then last months z1k price Reading between the lines is almost the same as crystal balling.....that of course is when you don't have a crystal ball. Think about it, if their closest competitor to the Z800 is the Z1000, and the big Z is on the way out, what's going to stand in their way of naming whatever price they choose? 550k baht isn't out of the question...... What's Honda got to compare? Or Yamaha..... Edited August 3, 2013 by BSJ

That's where the sensible few would go if he/she wanted to buy something other than the Z800 for 550,000baht

Well when I say 'my' it should be interpreted as "I lust after that beautiful mechanical contraption and if I had the money I would go into Red Baron and slap the cash down on the table and say 'Give me the keys slick'".........
Cobrabiker
Those in Red Baron are Ninja 1000, also called Z1000sx, it has taller gear, rear sprocket one tooth lesser, bigger fuel tank, 19L as compared to Z1000 15L, better still, it has 3 way adjustable windshield, and you can mount givi topbox and side panniers. I don't think Z1000 can mount a Givi topbox. I am actually very keen in the Ninja 1000, but for that price, I will need to reconsider. Just went to Kawasaki showroom in Pattaya today, and they had sold all Z1000, they told me they had reduced the price because they wanted to clear stocks. new model Z1000 will be here in a couple of months, so now 550k is a real steal, new model will be more expensive because of tax increase. Btw, also check out the Z800, priced at 375k baht, not including insurance and registration, very good deal as compared to the er6n, it does not seem to be able to mount a topbox as the Z1000. Cobrabiker
Saw the 2014 ninja 1000 with fairring on youtube, new changes are the traction control and power mode, I guess the new Z1000 will have the same features for 2014. http://youtu.be/A-C7uq7y1kQ

BSJ
With the panniers fitted it looks like the exhaust blows straight onto the bottom.....that can't be right!

RubberSideDown
Just read on the Real Motosports FB page that the Ninja 1000 is coming for 2014 at 629K without the hard luggage (which I'm sure won't be cheap)- not too bad, considering how much the Z1000 goes for. Which means that the 2014 Z1000 which will be announced on Nov 5th will be 20-30k cheaper than the SX, not bad especially when you consider it will have traction control and ABS! RubberSideDown
That's if they bring it in- they might not as the Z800 is already here, and the market may not support two similar 1000cc models.

The Z1000sx is already here in Pattaya Kawasaki, it is the first time they are selling this model, and only green color is available, plenty of torque for its class, sport touring, suprising it is cheaper than red baron's 710k baht, (2013 & 2012). New 2014 Z1000 will be here next month, cheaper than the sx. Edited October 22, 2013 by Cobrabiker

Hard luggage estimated at around 70K (ouch) but same key as for ignition
