the amount of times soccer players are on the turf rolling around in agony, makes me think they should be wearing sissy pads too.

According to the story, this particular kid that was pulled for the Chelsea game was already a mascot for the ManU game days earlier. Is that not good enough?

The first kid should be replaced, sure. Give someone else a turn. That someone else should be a 'regular' kid. The PM's kid already has enough privilege. Those CM amataya are no better than the Bangkok amataya when it comes to taking positions they didn't earn.

And those "sissy pads" actually allow for much higher impacts; it's the same principle of putting boxing gloves on, which protect the fragile bones in the hand. If (American) football players didn't wear helmets and shoulder pads, the tackling would be far less violent as they'd have to exercise caution so as not to inflict self-injury.
