PATTAYA:--An 18 year old man who claims he was subjected to an assault by a Thai Tourist Police Volunteer prior to being drug tested, reported the incident at Pattaya Police Station in the early hours of Wednesday.

Khun Sontaya, who was accompanied by his Aunt, who encouraged the man to report the incident to Police, described how he was sitting with 7 other friends close to the old pier located near the Northern entrance to Walking Street when he was approached by Thai Tourist Police Volunteers who arrived in a golf cart.

One of the volunteers, who was named as Khun Brapat, by the complainant, allegedly approached Khun Sontaya in an aggressive manner and told him he was going to be searched for illegal drugs. Khun Sontaya claims he was fully compliant but further claimed he was slapped in the back of his neck and kicked in his left side by the volunteer, during the encounter.

The Thai wanabe cop was upset because there was no money to be had.

Good for the guy's Auntie for encouraging him to make a formal complaint...

The kid is not looking particularly comfortable.

Perhaps the story he told his Auntie when he got home later than expected has backfired on him...

Maybe he forgot to mention to his aunt his cheeky comment to the untrained police volunteer... whistling.gif
