Dancealot
Wouldn't it be great is we got a Pickup Photo in ... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/679083-thaivisa-20142557-calendar-photo-contributions/ First of all, I am very pleased to see the 2014 calendar is on, again. Though Let's say we all make a vote: Go through this whole thread and choose the pick-up you like the most. And post this vote right here on the pick-up thread which Ron19 has set-up in the beginning. You can't vote on yourself, of course. The one with the most votes will be presented to Tywais. Ron19
Mae Sot 2012, getting the pick-up to the busstation. I remember, I was ordered to sit upfront with the driver because I was the "largest" person on this ride... Been there and have had to do the same although on one particular trip, the driver got sick of me complaining all the time about him crossing to the wrong side of the road on blind (for him) right hand bends.Pretty smart fellow this so what he did was stop for fuel and before he did anything,he went into the shop and came out with a large bottle of Singha, gave it to me and told me to sit in the back seat (behind him) because I hadn't been sitting next to my wife all day. Dancealot
I was wondering why the guys in the pick-up weren't waving at me. They were looking at the other way... Not one even playfully threatened to wash out my camera... Now I see why.....

David48
Incredible amount of great composure and video / photography skills on your part David Very well enjoyed , thanks for sharing. Mate, you are way to kind. It was just that the opportunity presented itself. The real skill was standing in the pouring rain, capture the images not destroy the camera and maintain the friendliness with the subject despite the obvious issues. I just wish I had one of them all waving goodbye. Thanks for the kind words though ...

David48
Recycle yard pickup I nominate this one for the calender. I'm sure it's a Kitchen Sink on top (don't let facts interrupt a good story). Actually, with a bit of cropping, you could also post that on the Flag Tread just started in the Photography Forum.
