November 3, 201312 yr Popular Post It's that time of year for starting the design of the 2014/2557 Thaivisa Calendar. Last four years calendars, 2010-2013 were a great success due to the excellent photo contributions from Thaivisa members.I would like to do this again this year and hope to see members posting their photo contributions here to include in the next Calendar.Requirements: Photo must have been taken within Thailand and must have been taken by the member posting the photo. Landscape mode (wide). Portrait mode is possible if it can be cropped properly to fit the calendar's format. Minimum 1280 pixels wide as the calendar will be printable and need the resolutions to be high for good print quality. By posting your images here you give Thaivisa permission to use them in the Calendar. Credit will be given through watermarks on the photos unless a member specifically wishes it not to be. Additional: If possible but not a requirement, please post the location and possible information about the photo. Last year many members were interested in that information and were asking about it. Please limit the number of photos per post to 3-4 as it will be difficult to determine which one a Like is given to. This topic will be open for 5 weeks and the photos presented to the mod/Admin team for initial cuts in selecting the photos. If there are insufficient photos that are considered suitable for the calendar, either previous contributions will be recycled or free use photos from the Internet will be used.Looking forward to seeing this years contributions. Note: - If you see a photo(s) that you really like please use the Like button for the poster. It will help with the decision process. November 3, 201312 yr If this is the Standard being set then it will be difficult to pick the best. Just out of curiosity David , where was that photo of the avenue of trees taken ? And do you know what species of trees they are ? They look very old.

Mate, check out this ... http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/671564-koh-sichang-boring-or-brilliant/ I'm just a hacker photographer. In Thailand, it is known as the Lanthom. This flower is also known as Frangipani. Same but different from that of my home country.
November 3, 201312 yr Thanks for the reply Mate, i have never seen frangipanis that old in Oz or in Asia . Must visit the Island but keep it a secret before it is overrun by people just like us.
November 3, 201312 yr Great, Tywais! Wonderful, I printed out last year's in my boss's office, FULL Colour...
November 3, 201312 yr Popular Post i'm just a birdwatcher that sometimes takes photographs.... but here's a couple of my own fave's that have no real avians in them. (as Tywais says minimum 1280 pixels wide, i've linked here at 'Large 1600' (wide) scale from Flickr...hope they're viewable to all.. much larger than i usually 'link' stuff - hopefully viewers browsers will accomodate/resize) edit: *IMPORTANT - you must CLICK on each image to see it 'unsquashed'. The aspect ratio is way off....probably because of the 1600pixels wide link Bangkok - Petchaburi Road. (Canon Powershot S95...ISO 80...1/1600sec...f/2.5) Bangkok - Silom, Rama IV, Ratchadamri intersection. (Canon Powershot S95...ISO 125...1/25sec...f/2.0) edit: *IMPORTANT - you must CLICK on each image to see it 'unsquashed'. The aspect ratio is way off....probably because of the 1600pixels wide link Edited November 3, 201312 yr by Goshawk
November 3, 201312 yr edit: *IMPORTANT - you must CLICK on each image to see it 'unsquashed'. The aspect ratio is way off....probably because of the 1600pixels wide link Great! This squashing doesn't work. And you made the like button dissappear for readers using smaller screens..

OK.. no more '1600 Large' links then...? here's another one that should fit most browsers, without having to actually click on it to view properly (larger sizes are available on request) Bangkok - Silom, Rama IV, Ratchadamri intersection. November 4, 201312 yr Popular Post This "1280 x xxx size" is a problem with Picasa too... 800 or 1024 or 1600 or full size are the choices... Going to have to think how to resize to 1280 ... Some great submissions so far... This one is 1600.... let's see how many people have problems viewing... Kids fishing and playing on the beach Ban Tai Beach, Samui.
