Travel Thailand Tightens Airport Rules on Liquids and Gels to Boost Safety
Same. Find flying nowadays a real chore and angsty, and will only do so if necessary. All this was a requirement years ago, but they want to push it through even tighter. Why doesn’t the world go back to just being, normal? Such a drag. -

Accident Worker Killed as Telephone Mast Collapses During Dismantling
Picture courtesy of Amarin. A 37-year-old worker was killed when a 48-metre-high telephone mast he was dismantling collapsed, crushing him to death. At approximately 15:30 on 25 April, officers from Si Somdet Police Station received reports of a fatal incident involving a falling telecommunications mast at the entrance to Ban Phosai Noi in Phosai subdistrict, Si Somdet district, Roi Et province. Police, accompanied by medical staff from Si Somdet Hospital, were dispatched to the scene. The site was located in a lemongrass field adjacent to paddy fields, where a dismantling operation was underway. Emergency personnel found the body of Mr Amrit 37, lying face-up at the scene. He suffered multiple fractures, and a safety harness was still attached to his waist. A preliminary examination was carried out at the site before the body was released to the family for religious rites. According to Mr Samian, 33, who witnessed the incident, the deceased was working up the mast and had been dismantling the 48-metre-high mast section by section. Approximately 10 metres had already been removed over two days of work. During the operation, a gripping device securing the sling cable, holding the mast in position, reportedly slipped, causing the mast to collapse and fall, with the victim still attached to it. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident. Adapted by Asean Now from Amarin 2025-04-27. -

Trump admits getting fooled
I'm also an American and I sometimes think the same thing. I don't think they are idiots as much as they are just very gullible, and America seems to be a nation that just very easily buys into a narrative, and a well crafted level of fiction, which Trump is very, very good at creating. I don't think the man's particularly intelligent. I actually think he's rather dull, but he's a genius when it comes to distorting truth and creating an alternative narrative that his followers just gobble up like the most wonderful dessert they've ever tasted. I do have some friends that will come right out and say the man is a butthead, he's an idiot, and he's an absolute clown, but I like his policies. Those are the Republicans I admire. The ones who absolutely refuse to criticize his policies, or his behavior and total lack of dignity, no matter how ridiculous and far out it becomes, have absolutely no respect from me on any level. With many people, once they got attached to a theory, it was hard to get them detached. They’d screen out unhelpful facts, invent favorable ones, and ignore contradictions in their own claims. Look at those Sandy Hook, multiple fraud convictions, and Jan. 6th truthers, babbling about false flags and crisis actors and all the rest. When people were motivated enough to believe something, they were going to believe it no matter what. There was no such thing as a bridge too far.
