Sorry to hear. Welcome to Pattaya, the family destination.

Sorry to hear. Were you on a motorcycle too?

Saw an incident outside our property on Soi Khao Talo where a German guy on his bike had his gold necklace ripped off his neck by a Thai guy on a bike. The German guy gave chase and ended up colliding with another Thai guy on a m/cycle who lost his pinky. Sad for all except the offender. One reason I wont ride a m/cycle in Thailand.

Sadly Pattaya is not the safe place it used to be.

Take comfrort that it was only property and not yourself being injured.

Sorry to hear that. Did you report to the police (the one on the beach road; balamung police is not in charge of this area ) ? Although the chance of getting back the stuff is close to zero. Still worth a try. Better than nothing.

I was once robbed on Naklua soi 16/2, the soi in front of Centara Hotel, at 7:50PM. Those trash should be eliminated from earth!

I will never understand why people wander the streets carrying valuables, especially valuables that are clearly visible as such like gold chains or cameras/smartphones/ipods etc. In a country where the minimum daily wage is under USD10, don't they expect to get them stolen? I would.

When I go out for a walk I have a few hundred Baht in my pocket and that's it.
