Flying Economy or Economy Comfort

Featured Replies

I've just booked and paid for my next flight to Thailand. For the first time, I'm going Delta, and as it's paid, no point in making any specific comment on the advisability of that particular airline. It's a done deal.

But I'm wondering about the difference in seating. They have business class (which I can't afford) but they have both Economy and what they call Economy Comfort.

The latter is supposed to have extra leg room and recline further back. I've looked at the seating plans of the plane, and it doesn't look significant. I do have a good economy seat booked.

Anyone have any comment regarding the difference on Delta between Economy and their Economy Comfort?

P.S. Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, but couldn't determine another. Mods, if you want to move it, please do so smile.png

Go check seatguru.com , they will have comments about the seating set up on that particular aircraft.

Note, you can also browse the airline so they should have the configuration for the actual aircraft you will be flying in.

Hi

I flew economy comfort from Seattle to Bangkok ( Delta ). It was very nice. Lots of service and very comfortable.

I had the first row so plenty of leg room and two seats in my row. I think it was 400.00 us surcharge but I used

my points for the flight.

I don't know about Delta, but for tall people, the extra few inches can make a big difference.

Thanks for the encouragement. I just upgraded from a good economy seat to one of those two seater comfort seats. Had to get one on the aisle, but with the extra width and legroom, particularly as I'm in that front row (hope it's not a bulkhead with babies there in the middle).

I figured I didn't need the entire trip, just that super long leg across the Pacific, so managed to get that only. Cdn$102 above my cheapie ticket.

Biggest difference is that now I've only got a single bag free, rather than the usual two, not that I carry much anyway. And with the Comfort seating, maybe there are a few other perks.
