Flying into Phuket in Feb. Is the best way to get to AoNang by private car/taxi? It takes about 3 hours drive?.is that correct? Or is there a ferry?

There is a ferry but only once maybe twice a day. Best way is a private taxi or shared mini bus. More like 2+ hours from the airport.

private taxi by far the easisest cost 2,000 -2,200 have to haggle, as livinin kata says takes 2 hours,watch out for the minibus scam where they will charge you 900 bht each and then stick you on the government minibus which really costs 160 bht ,happened to many of our customers last year.

there is also a couple of ferries but by the time you get from airport to pier it ends up costing the same or more than private car and can take anything from 2-6 hours depending on flight and boat times....
