August 7, 201313 yr Hi all, thought I'd get a second opinion on this my head if mashed with visas before I book flights Hoping to book my flights soon and planning On flying out to Thailand 28th Of November, Hoping to get my triple tourist visa issued from Hull on Monday 25th of November. Planning on spending roughly a month of December in Thailand, month of Jan in Laos, month of February in Cambodia, Month of March in Vietnam. Then be re-entering Thailand to go Koh Tao from then to do my scuba diving training. Now can I use my 3rd tourist visa before the 25th of May giving my till the 25th of July, then using my 30 day extension till the 25th of August? I will be booking return flight for my girlfriend encase she needs to head home or giving her chance to extend her flights to Max out another Double tourist visa we shall get issued from Savannakhet Laos. Can you go get an 30 day extendtion from Koh Samui ? And presume the closest country to border is Malaysia (Penang) get my tourist visa stamped? Thanks for your help
August 7, 201313 yr Yes, if you use the triple entry TR Visa to it's max, you can stay just under 9 months. Bearing in mind that each entry is 60days + 30 extension, if your 3rd entry is on or one day before the visa expires you will still get your 60+ 30 days thereafter. So, enter 25th May will give you 60 days = 24th July + 30 = 23rd August.
August 7, 201313 yr I suggest that you accompany your visa application with a letter indicating your tentative dates of the three entries into Thailand and asking that your triple-entry tourist visa should be given a validity of six months. The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
August 8, 201313 yr Yes, if you use the triple entry TR Visa to it's max, you can stay just under 9 months. So, enter 25th May will give you 60 days = 24th July + 30 = 23rd August. You are one day off in your calculations (60 days from 25th of May is 23rd of July), so visa plus extension will only get him to 22nd of August if entering on 25th of May. August 23, 201313 yr Yes you can get 30 day extension at immigration in Samui. You can make trip to Ranong for entry to Myanmar or go to Malaysia to get another entry for your visa. Edited August 23, 201313 yr by ubonjoe
