Dealing with the inevitable demands for money from a Thai
Sounds good. I suggest sending her whatever funds she needs. She will be eternally grateful. -

Dealing with the inevitable demands for money from a Thai
That is an issue. She is a licenced travel guide. She was working on and off up until I returned to the UK in April. Her family are in the process of selling farming land and she has been involved with that. Given she had three other sisters, one of whom sounds well connected and local to where the family lives it does pee me off that she is the one that commutes on a regular basis from BKK to KK to sort out the sale. Why the one in KK who has a string of condos and cars can't get off her arse and do something is beyond me. Her own history is that she had a Thai husband. Good job working in Singapore but he had a heart attack. She has been living off the disposal of assets. That is what I have been told. -

Dealing with the inevitable demands for money from a Thai
It’s hilarious watching everyone split hairs about her “background” like it actually matters. The giant elephant sitting right there is that she wants way too much cash. That alone puts her squarely with the usual parade of Thai girls who talk sweet but see your wallet as the prize. It’s like someone telling me “bro she’s hot” and I have to break it to them “yeah, but it's got the wrong plumbing mate”. -

Breakfast in Bangkok / weekdays
If you're willing to spring for it, the buffet breakfasts in the likes of the JW Marriott and the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit are superb....but pricey. Double Tree by Hilton on Sukhumvit soi 2 has a very good buffet breakfast spread with the fresh baked bread, croissants, cold cuts etc, and is not as expensive as the aforementioned two. I think it was about 550 baht or so last time I went which, admittedly, was a year or so ago.
