thaidel48
I live in the khon Kaen area and would like to know if there are any hospitals in the area that have a prosthetics clinic, as my present artificial leg needs replacing after 30 years of service. Suradit69
There are some links along the left hand side of this page that might get you to people who would know the nearest clinic to you. http://www.prosthesesfoundation.or.th/eng/ Edited August 9, 2013 by Suradit69
KhunBENQ
I did some search for the Thai terms (ขาเทียม = artificial leg and กาย อุปกรณ์ = protheses in general) within Khon Kaen. And surely there are rehab specialists at the medical faculty of the university (there is a rehab departement at least). So as in many medical cases the Sri Nakarin (Sri Nagarind) Hospital is the first point to get information/help. Maybe they can point you in the right direction? http://www.md.kku.ac.th/en/index.php Edited August 10, 2013 by KhunBENQ
richardjm65
Knowing nothing about your specific needs, or about prosthetics in general, I did see in one of the English language Thursday newspapers, in their business section, news of the upcoming Thailand Research Expo 2013, to be held in Centara Grand at Central World from Aug 23-27, some information regarding a flexible prosthetic leg which, they state, can be made for only 40,000 baht compared with the price tag of 420,000 - 600,000 baht for imported versions. Possibly worth checking out? It has apparently been developed by a mechanical engineering student at Prince of Songkla University.

harrry
I strongly suggest you get in touch with http://www.prosthesesfoundation.or.th/en/ in ChiangMai. They will undoubtedly help you. I have a leg myself but can no longer use it due to health but they were prepared to make me a new one. It would be free but a good donation would be a good thing to do.
