RegularReader
I am on a Type O non-immigrant (Thai Wife) visa and applied last week for a 12 month extension. As per usual, I was given an "under consideration" stamp until the end of the month. Does anyone know when I can begin to use the THB400,000 in my Thai Bank Account, which was used in support of the extension request ? Do I have to wait until the extension is granted, or can I use the money now ? Edited August 10, 2013 by RegularReader

Lite Beer
I have always used it straight after application with no problem.
monty
As long as you just withdraw living expenses you should be OK, even when queried. If the whole amount would have been withdrawn, you might get problems.

IMA_FARANG
I don't think there's is any hard and fast rule. I would be cautious about withdrawing any money until the approval is granted. However, if you need it, go ahead. I seriously doubt they will deny the extension just because you took out a reasonable amount for living expenses for a month. Be sure to remember you will need to have that same amount in you account next year to renew that extension. But I'm sure you know that already.
