Renewing Passports

I renewed my British passport via Hong Kong and found that having to use and pay for couriers etc. The whole thing was quite expensive. Now I believe it is done direct to London. To get started go to your countries consulate for a form.

For some is even more expensive.......... Couriers Service ? what is that ? last year had to renew mine, sent all off to H.K. then wait and wait, hear nothing, 4 weeks later get am email from the Couriers Service in Vietnam to say it had arrived there and would be sent to Thailand next day...

3 days latter sure was here, but at Couriers Service Office, NO they would not deliver. NO they would not send to there local Office [only 15 km away] had to drive all the way to that Office some 130km and a waste of time and petrol..not getting any younger took hours to find the place.

Will I still be able to drive on next renewal ? how much would a Taxi cost ? !! worked out total cost was around 14,000 baht..!!!
