Coca-Cola picks Thailand for 'Habu' herbal drink launch

Featured Replies

I think I'm gonna have to try this one.

Say what you want about the Coca-Cola company, but they rarely make stuff that tastes bad.

No mention of sugar content.....

Who cares, as long as it tastes good and is sweet enough?

Well, at least they aren't claiming it makes your skin whiter, boosts your IQ, or enlarges your breasts.....

Maybe they heard that Thais will believe anything. Just tell the ladies it will make their skin whiter

"Maybe they heard that Thais will believe anything. "

I thought it was farang males who queue up to swallow any illogical fairy tale woven by their intellectual superiors, aka primary school leavers fresh from Isaan.

But it is a whole lot of uneducated farmers and their ilk who vote for a bunch of crooks to rob them blind. At least many of the Isaan ladies are easy on the eye - and they do deliver the goods, something that no Thai MP has ever done.

I wonder if this new concoction will make inroads into the sales of the crappy stuff that replaced Pepsi. Me? I'll stick with Dandelion and Burdock to wash down my Lancashire hotpot or Faggots and peas.

There will be shortage of dentists to confirm how healthy Habu is.

I love how people love to spread BS, like story about coke eating meat, teeth, killing mice (why don't people use it for pest control then?) and all that nonsense. Try reading this: http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/tooth.asp

Do they put a cobra snake inside ?

Made me laugh seeing a coca cola truck, and the driver was drinking pepsi hahaha

Coca cola, the dentist's friend. As told to me me by more than one dentist. Do you accept that any big corporation, particularly an US one, would be honest and up front?

I guess, all of you ranting against Coke of course life a totally healthy life-style.

No alcohol (noooooo...only vicious rumors state, that alcohol may not be good for you...), no cigarettes, jogging every morning...coffee1.gif

Actually i like a drink, generally to excess at least once a week. i smoke, though i wish i didnt, and i ride my bike a minimum of 100km per week and when i stop, i love to have a coke in bag.

but lets not pretend that it is not pure poison.

Precisely why I prefer an ice cold beer at or near the end of my bike ride biggrin.png

Personally I wish they'd re-launch Sprite-zero instead ! Much missed ! coffee1.gif

Do they know Habu is a Japanese Snake? Seems like a strange choice for a name to debut in Thailand, but it would be a great name for an energy drink in Japan.

If anyone is interested: I tried it!

Tastes like a red fruit- tea!

Cold served, I found it to be refreshing and somehow little sugary!

Does it state the sugar content on the side of the bottle/can?

Understand. I always look for the largest number% and ask a Thai if this is sugar. Normally it is around 30-40%.

Largest number here is 10%, so...not much to worry about....
