Extension after entry by visa exemption

Featured Replies

I entered Thailand on 25 July with a 30 day visa exemption. Can I go to an immigration office and extend this ? Is so, by how many days ? And can it by done at Samut Prakan Immigration office ? I'll be leaving on 1 Sep.

Thanks

PS

You will get 7 days to leave the country so you should be OK.

You can do it at any immigrations office, bring passport photos and the 1.900 baht fee.

No extensions available on "visa exempt" entries.

Fly out and return to Thailand for another 30 day visa exempt entry.

Cross a land border and return to receive 15 days

A 7 day extension non approval period is available at any immigration office so no exit is required until normal planned time.

FYI, I got the 7 day extension very easily at Samut Prakan Immigration office a week ago on Friday. In and out in about 15 mins...

How many days in advance of the 30 day approval date can one apply for the 7 day extension? Also, what is required apart from the passport and Bht 1,900?

Thx

You can get it a few days early.

You will need a completed TM7 form with attached photo. Download and print 2 sided: http://immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm7.pdf

Copies of your passport photo page, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card.
