I have a Toyota pick-up with central locking with the remote key.

Probably like a lot of people when on leaving the car I press the remote to lock the doors as I walk away.

If one of the doors is not closed properly it beeps to let me know, very convenient, but occasionally one of the kids will leave a window open and there is no warning beep to let me know. sad.png

Yes I know checking all the windows are closed is the thing to do but we don't always remember to do that so was wondering if there was an aftermarket kit available that I could fit so any open windows will close automatically with the key lock.

Easier to teach the children not to do it or disable their windows.

Such a thing should exist as I had a similar system on one of my cars many moons ago (more than 20 years ago as I recall). It was tied to a Moss car alarm system with which I could click the button to engage the alarm and it would close any open windows at the same time.

Can't help you in terms of systems currently available here, but as a concept it must exist!!

My V12 XJS R closed the widows and the Sun Roof moons ago.Factory fitted from new. Good Gismo imo. A good Sparks can adapt your system to do the same, its finding one here.coffee1.gif

It's worth checking to see if the "simply cool shop" has such a product. http://www.simplycoolshop.com/ I know that they have a kit which folds door mirrors etc but not sure on total closure

Thanks will give them a check.

I have fitted the fitted the folding door mirrors kit, neat piece of kit. Can't recall if it was from them or some other shop but will give them a try.

Cheers.

Wify, who loves searching the Internet. spent some time looking for a "automatic window closing" thing. Not much luck but she did manage to find one guy who was selling a few kits, but unfortunately non for my car.

http://www.chiangraifocus.com/forums/index.php?topic=434972.0

She called his number several times and after a couple of days he did answer the phone. Seems he imported the kits from Japan but stopped doing it now so only had a few left. She asked if he could order a kit for my car and he reluctantly said he would try but no guarantees.

So not much hope there.sad.png

Guess will just have to keep checking the windows like everyone else. coffee1.gif

Where do you live that you want to roll the windows down in your car?

Yea! Makes you wonder why the manufactures don't just fit fixed windows. Just think of the savings in production costs.

As an extra they could offer a double glazing option for really hot or cold countries
