Problems Playing Video Clips...

I've recently downloaded some movies and video clips from the internet. However, when i play some of the clips, it is in green and red color...why?

I doubt it's my video card because i can play other movies...

or is there a problem with the file itself??

I've some times seen them with green screens. Usually indicates a bad or missing codec. Try downloading (if you don't have it) VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). It plays just about everthing with it's own codecs.
