I don't wish to seem a sceptic but you say your service is free "for a limited time". Does this mean that should I get a free account now I may have to pay some time in the future (eg. Subscription based service)? OR, are you building a list of clients to base future marketing on OR something else?

Can you please explain your marketing and pricing plans?

Let me explain. It's absolutely nothing behind.

1. I won't sell client email to anybody. Never do and never will.

2. To be honest. First of all, I planned to launch paid version in a month after launching free version, but one of my admins had gone. It took time to find a new good admin. It is nothing like web server, vpn or anything. So, paid version has been postpone.

3. Free account lasts 30 days. Then your account will be expired but you can renew it for free. Since I don't collect any payment info from you, no way I can charge you right? Why can't I just set to forever? This way I can get rid of inactive account.

4. However, Everything is ready now. Paid version will launch next week. It costs $3/month. Free account will then lasts only 7 days and you can't renew it for free any more.

Thanks for the explanation.

Hi all,

I just wanted to relate my experience with Trickbyte so far running on Android.

It is now about 7 or 8 days since I got my account and tried to use it on 2 different Android tablets as below for about a week now.

Samsung galaxy tab 10.1 GT-P7510 with os 4.0.4

Sumsung Galaxy Tab 2 GT-P5200 with 4.2.2.

Until 2 days ago the guys at Trickbyte were really very helpful responding to my cries for help with possible solutions sometimes more than once a day. It has been the same problem since day 1.

None of the proposed solutions have worked and I have not been able to use the internet with the Trickbyte config for DNS 1 or 2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 isnot 2 weeks old bought at MBK and I have not tinkered with the standard config.

Internet setup at home is also almost new installed by TOT with 20Mbps fibre connection running through an NEC router and TPLINK 150 wireless modem all configured by TOT.

Unfortunately, I only have my Android devices connected so can't comment on other OS.

Trickbyte has not worked for me and their support has unfortunately now tailed off into disinterest.

If it were me with a new product, I would be very keen to resolve ALL customer issues but hey, it's not me.

I'm so sorry about what happened. Please don't get me wrong. I care all users and I hope everyone can enjoy my service, If not, at least I need to know why.

I see your config. It's all correct. Nothing's wrong with your setting. Since I can't reproduce same error here. So, it's hard to investigate myself on my end. That's why I keep asking you to test.

You have tested everything, only one thing left is your network. That's why I asked you to try to use other network, for example coffee shop, internet in your workplace or public wifi. If you can at least get online with other network with our dns on. Then there is something wrong in your router or your isp. Maybe your router has set another dns on it. Then it's override our dns in your devices.

I have TOT too with 10mb adsl. It's working fine for me. I'm not sure fibre one is the same thing.

HI, I wondered how the service actually functions.

Is it like this:

USER_IP > proxy the http request > Trickbyte > http.request from USER_IP.TrickbyteDNS.com > www

www > DNS Request USER_IP.trickbyteDNS.com ? > DNS reply = USER_IP

www send packet to DNS discovered IP

Something like that. If you want to do more research. Google "reverse proxy"

I'd like to see Comcast offered but understand there may not be a huge demand from others.

comcast is not free and may not be so much demand from user. However, I'll consider it again.

I was wondering if I wanted to use your service to access Netflix on my iPhone would I need to have a jailbroken phone? Netflix is not available for download on the Thailand Apple App Store.

Thanks in advance for your response. I am considering subscribing to your service so I want to know this information before hand.

You can do that by signing up new apple id with US or Uk region. You have to use another email address to sign up.

This is a quick step.

1. open itune on your pc and sign out from any apple account you may have.

2. change country to us or uk by go to store--> home and schroll down to the bottom, you will see a flag. Click on it.

3. Sign up for new apple id as you normally do. No credit card required.

4. Go to your apple device and sign out.

5. Sign in with your new us/uk id.

6. tab on app store. You should now be able to find Netflix and Hulu.

7. After you have installed any preferred app. You can sign out and go back to your actual account. All netflix, hulu app will stay with you.

We have 7 Netflix regions for you. USA, UK, Ireland, Brazil, Canada, Sweden and Mexico

Norway and Denmark are coming soon.

Thank you for trying Trickbyte wai2.gif

I cannot do this as iTunes requires me to enter a credit card. Could you confirm this is true?

Actually you will have to select a free app in the country store. Then it will not require you to enter payment details.

Google for the correct procedure. If you follow the above steps it will ask you for payment details. If you have a VPN, set it to the country required and you will automatically redirected to the correct country. As said, do not sign up right away. First select a free app, then it will ask you to login or create a new account without being asked for payment details.

Any updates?

I only see 2 dns in free trial, one usa and one germany.

does it work with True online? I can't test it as I'm at village using TOT (it works fine with tot).

True has transparent proxy on. Some of our supported sites may not work. Even it works now it may won't work in the future.

TOT is perfect.

We support Hulu plus on apple tv. Sign up for our 14-day free trial to watch it now.

Don't forget, after you set up Trickbyte dns on apple tv. Unplug your apple tv for 5-10 secs and plug in back.

Just saw in another post that you may have some problem for some sites if internet via True?

Any problems with Hulu plus on ITV if using cable wireless router with True?

I've tried other dns spoof services with UK dns.

Because TOT has direct pop to UK, it works better than USA.

I figured out this is the IP for netflix UK:

ipv4_1.lagg0.c051.lhr001.ix.nflxvideo.net

I can stream 2350Kbit/s hd without problems so far. 720p hd works fine with this bitrate. I saw 4Mbit/s avg speed on windows resource monitor.

From my TOT 10Mbit adsl:

No idea how true will work out due to transparent proxy problem, but looking at the numbers, UK servers has better troughtput to the Thailand for my TOT.

The reason UK Netflix works better than US one is again TOT's amazingly stupid routing.

ipv4_1.lagg0.c034.dfw001.ix.nflxvideo.net (US server) is routed via London, UK.

From TOT:

root@DD-WRT:~# traceroute ipv4_1.lagg0.c034.dfw001.ix.nflxvideo.net

Have signed up and set up my ITV and the instructions and sign up process was super clear and easy on the website...

Signed in to my Hulu plus account and started watching

It is working much better than air parrot app, although does seem to stop every few minutes for 10-20 seconds.. Which is a bit annoying .

Not sure if any way to fix this?

Any updates?

I only see 2 dns in free trial, one usa and one germany.

does it work with True online? I can't test it as I'm at village using TOT (it works fine with tot).

True has transparent proxy on. Some of our supported sites may not work. Even it works now it may won't work in the future.

TOT is perfect.

I am very interested in a solution for Apple TV ... I hav a US Hulu plus account and have solution for lap top but currently only thing I can find for transmitting from Laptop to ITV is air parrot , which does not work well at all...

We support Hulu plus on apple tv. Sign up for our 14-day free trial to watch it now.

Don't forget, after you set up Trickbyte dns on apple tv. Unplug your apple tv for 5-10 secs and plug in back.

I didn't unplug the ITV for 5-10 sec and re-plug it back in... As the US apps just popped up after setting up the settings for US ...

Would that have any effect or do you just advise to do this to ensure the ITV will re-boot and the US apps will come up?

Home from work and turned on Hulu to check it out and so far looking good...

Stopped a couple times for a few seconds but a million times better than yesterday.

If maintaining like this, will happily be signing up for paid account once the free time is up

Ok to test... Switched to PBS on ITV and watching antique roadshow... 15 min into the show and never a single stop for buffering... Wondering if it is a HULU issue?

May need to start a Netflix 2 week free membership to see if any better than Hulu

Have been talking with him via PM ... Also confirm that is working but with some buffering

Buffering is not TB's problem. However if your internet can't even stream lowest 235kbit/s stream from netflix, well, you should change your ISP.
