Book Distributors

Featured Replies

Anybody knows any reliable book distributors for English books in Bangkok? I've contacted Asia Books, but even they are not keen on dealing directly with small publishers.

I do not have his details but Derek Sharron, the author of "MY NAME IS LON: DO YOU LIKE ME" will help local authors produce and distribute small press run and self published books. He can also arrange the translation of books into other languages.

I believe he is based in Pattaya. He does get paid for his services but I do not know his fee structure.

I know several authors of self published books who have used him and found him to be reputable. You should be able to find his contact details on the 'net. If not, His book is still sold in most AsiaBooks locations and his contact details are on the back cover.

Last I knew, the distribution system of Asia Books was pretty chaotic so even if they get your books, distribution is spotty.

The big chains that come to mind are: Asia Books (you talked to them already), DK Books, Book Chest, Distri-Thai, Kinokuniya, Nai Inn, SE-ED.
