Just thought....... have not looked but if you realy want to fly then try phuket to surat thani or phuket to chumphon. Maybe the closest and then either buss or train from there???

kunash: When are you traveling? The air carriers seem to come and go in Hua Hin. With high season approaching, maybe another airline will give it a try. As said, right now there is no airline service in Hua Hin, but if you are traveling later, it might be worth it to follow-up and check again.
