Mr. Apisak Thanthiwarawongse (อภิศักดิ์ ตันติวรวงศ์), the Managing Director of the Krung Thai Bank, stated that the bank will be issuing a new type of bonds to foreign investors in an attempt to boost the bank's internal revenue.

Mr. Apisak stated that $200 million worth of hybrid bonds will be on sale to foreign investors before the end of April. He stated that the revenue earned from the sale of these hybrid bonds will be used to expand the credit line of other bank services.

At the moment, the bank is selecting a suitable consulting company from 6 companies that have submitted their proposals.

Mr. Apisak added that when a suitable consulting company has been selected the proper paperwork will be submitted to the Stock Exchange of Thailand and relevant government agencies for evaluation.
