A chap I know is 50 something his wife is 30, will this be looked on negatively by the brit embassy when they apply for a visa. Its obviously a marriage of convenience for both but is the UKBA even bothered. Shes a Tom and he's a John but hes been goin back and forth for a couple years and now they are 'married'.

Can't see why if they meet all the criteria and they are a genuine couple.

What do you mean by marriage of convenience?

The UKBA are getting pretty smart at spotting bogus marriages.

So the sponsor is only "50 something" and the applicant is 30.

Do explain why in your wisdom, you assume this a marriage of convenience?

And also is this a Civil Marriage as you seem to be implying???

Maybe it's has something to do with the OP comment "she's a Tom and he is a John" ;-)

Can't wait for his next post:

"She's a brass and he's a punter"... coffee1.gif

The OP and HIS wife are both 40-ish.

Why the concern?
