Jameson's, Soi AR have it on (as will many other places), plenty of good TV's, and atmosphere is normally excellent.

What and where is Soi AR?

Soi AR, or Soi 12 (as signed) off Pattaya Klang, or you can turn right off 2nd Rd almost opposite Soi 6/1, both will lead you to Nova Park, which Jameson's Irish Bar is outside of.

PS, forgot to mention the big screen (projector) too.

I know where Jameson's is, was just wondering where soi AR was.

Is Charlie alright at Legends bar woody, I heard he had some health issues?

They'll probably have a butchered version of it on one of the Thai channels. I've given up trying to watch Mayweather fights live - too boring. I'll download it later if it turns out to be exciting, which is quite unlikely.

Thanks, everyone -- we'll either try Jameson's, or just stay at home.

I don't like Mayweather, but his mastery is like Roger Federer's in his prime. It's impossible for me not to appreciate how inferior he makes other guys look. The undercard, Garcia-Mathysse, could be a main event on its own.

DeanWeen, if you're interested or that way inclined, Jameson's have their happy hour drinks on (Heineken & Tiger pints) from 7AM until 7PM.

Just sitting with Chaz's friends, he's too busy to reply as he's probably pulling in another 24lb Carp Mate.

What time is it on?

Coverage starts at 8AM if I'm not mistaken, the main bout will be about 10.45-11.15 judging by previous experience.

There are six undercards before the main bout. But I wouldn't miss Garcia-Mathysse, which might be the best fight of the night/ morning. So I'm going to try to get there by 9 or 9:30 just in case there are some quick early finishes.

Someone tells me Its on True or CTH but I cant find much in their guides, True has unspecified boxing #25 sunday 8am on channel 106 but it might be re-runs.

If someone on the forum knows for sure please post, cheers.

So Channel 106 yes, and an unspecified HD channel... maybe. that will do...cheers PP.

Don't know if it's 106 as I know longer have True, but whatever number TS7 is.

When I say True HD, I mean True Sport HD, they only have 2 of them.

Why does that make you laugh? All high profile boxing matches are shown on Thai Channel 7 or Astro Sports on Sophon Cable and I see CTH has Thai Channel 7, plus many more sports channels in their channel lineup, so there's a very good chance it will be showing,...,, I'll bet on Thai Channel 7.

The commentary will be in Thai, and sometimes you lose the first 10 seconds or so of some rounds to commercials, but it's better than nothing and it's free. You can enjoy the fight more without hearing all the biased bullshit from commentators anyway. You can make your own mind up as to who you think is in the lead as the fight progresses.

I agree with you on the channel 7 ads, Maywether may meet his match at last.

I, for one, would not back against Mayweather.

He may have his critics for various (and quite possibly deserved) reasons, but there's no taking it away from the man that he is one of the best boxer's of all time. It's pretty hard to beat someone you can't hit (who can also hit back very well).

Time will tell come Sunday morning though.

I don't see any result other than a UD for Mayweather. I know that's the easiest prediction to make, but I don't think Mayweather's going to engage Alvarez enough to knock him out, and he'll be too careful to get himself knocked out. Alvarez is going to come out firing, though -- he knows if he doesn't take most of the early rounds, he's done.

PS, another very good option is Legend's Pool and Sports Bar, I believe doors will be open at 9AM.

I think we're set on Jameson's, but if for whatever reason we decide to go somewhere else, we might try Legends. That's the one on Pattaya Klang, right?

Yes Mate, on the junction with 3rd Rd.
