Head north and pick up the 304 - continue thru the Kabinburi Hills. When you hit highway 24 south of Korat turn right and follow the signs to Ubon Ratchatani. You can't miss it!

That trip adviser makes it sound far too complicated

FYI, the portion of 304 from Phnom Sarakham up to Korat was rebuilt from 1963-'65 by the U.S. Army's 809th, 561st, 538th Engineers, plus a lot of associated units, POL,. MP, medics, etc.
