Rimmer Posted September 12, 2013 Share Posted September 12, 2013 Attempted Bribery of Pattaya Police Officer leads to capture of stolen motorbike PATTAYA:--Two men aged 24 and 25 were arrested in the early hours of Thursday on charges of attempting to bribe a Royal Thai Police Officer, auto-theft and resisting arrest.The case began at a Police Checkpoint in Central Pattaya. One of the officers on duty there was Police Senior Sergeant Major Suport who stopped a motorbike driven by Khun Poonsuk aged 25 who told the officer that he would arrange for his friend to come and pay him 2,000 Baht in exchange for Khun Poonsuk being let free.The officer decided to play along with the scenario and told Khun Poonsuk to contact his friend and bring the money. The double irony is that the BIB got the money anyway, as well as solving a crime. I don't know how they have the cheek to allow this to be published.
