TOT service is being crappy for weeks already.

Featured Replies

The thing is for the past few weeks, every time i connect on any overseas servers specially USA or UK i get this horrible latency (around 500 - 600) but the usual i get is 200 - 230 latency.

What i've noticed is that everytime on this ip 125.27.239.XX gateway or node or whatever , that is the only time i get the horrible latency.

However if i am not on that ip i stated above my latency is usually on normal (200 - 230)

The problem is i tried changing my ip has no luck at all.

Resetting the router or leaving it for more than 8hours wont work at all. or even trying to reset my router within the time the dhcp lease time expires.

I even called the service centre -(1100) and the lady operator said that they cannot change my ip.

Any suggestions?

Im pretty sure im on dynamic ip , i have 12mbp plan , connection within Thailand is smooth around (30 - 50 latency)

tot has always been crappy compared to other providers, nothing new here...

For a bit more than 1 year, TOT has been for me at least much better than anything I had before. As I used Buddy, True, 3BB and TOT from the exact same place, I can somehow compare.

But yes, @nicoloideon, TOT routes once outside Thailand are really weird (I'm polite), like going to London before California or Italy before NewYork.... Try "tracert" (Windows) or traceroute (Linux/Mac) and you'll see!

Very strange,as my TOT connection used to be crap, now its working ok

for last few weeks, enough to stream movies, series even in the evening.

I signed up for their Fiber4U ?, that was 4 weeks ago still no sign of them

coming, just hope its not worse than i have now ,as its more expensive,

problem is they expand the customer base, without adding more international

bandwidth?, is that the right word.but you will know what i mean

regards Worgeordie
