I agree with alcohol 120%, straight forward and popular. You can also use it to make an .iso image (mirror image) of the disk and store it on hard disk such as an external USB.

I've just been using CloneDVD, and it's great. Lets you choose if you want just the movie, or the extras. Gets rid of all 'protection' that forbids you playing the stuff you've paid for where you want to play it. So, you can make a copy of your movie and play it anywhere - a novel concept to the men in suits who just want your money and don't care if you can play the disc or not.

There's a 14-day free trial, which gives you loads of time to copy (sorry, backup) your discs on

Then it costs $100 I think. Too much, I'd say.
