Looking for Condo 6000-8000 baht a month

Featured Replies

I am looking for a Condo or seviced apartment in Chiang Mai for 6000- 8000 a month. I would like it to be as close to town as possible and it must have a communal pool. Willing to pay a year up front.

Many thanks RK.

There's always Baan Thai on Soi 6 of Nimbleheadman. Around 5k ish last time I checked, though it's not 'new' any more as in that link.

Btw, good nik. tongue.png

Never a good idea to pay far in advance. Never. If you have to leave before the contract is up you lose what you have paid.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping for somewhere much closer to town or even inside the moat.

Any more ideas?

Look at CM Apartments in Soi 7, Moon Muang, opposite Sri Pat Hotel-inside Moat.

No pool but SriPat wil let you use theirs for ,I think, 60baht. I loved it their earlier this year while my condo was being sorted. Their site only shows daily but I got a great deal for a month. Great area, lots of good-ish restaurants (cheap!) and bars

I never hear of people paying far in advance in Thailand ,but have heard its normal in Bali to pay for a year in advance .That suprised me .

I have a tenant Anto who just paid 2 months deposit and 6 months advance rent. I thought that was not unusual.

For the last 3 years I have paid 1 year in advance. Regular monthly 15,000 Baht/month but reduced to 10,700 by paying year in advance. Great savings...... Apartment is not in Old City but in Nimman Area.

No problem paying a year up front but I will expect some discount.

Are there places around Loh Kroi that would fit my bill?

Don't pay in advance if you're new here. if the place is too noisy and you have to move, you will never get any money back.

That is very sound advice - you never know who your new neighbor might be.

I stayed at Lanna Moon for a few months nearly two years ago. It was ok. Standard room, refrigerator, TV, and with a swimming pool and communal kitchen downstairs.

It was fairly quiet at night though like anywhere it depends on who your neighbours are. If you really want to be in that part of town then it would probably suit.

Cheers for that. It looks pretty good. Where are the other places you say they have available?
