Does anyone have info on places/people that do this on a fairly large scale for clothing.

Not looking for pieces of high artistic value etc. But am looking for someone who can do on cotton, silk, rayon etc by the metre or roll of fabric.

Has to be competitive pricing and looking for the more subtle/ artistic colours /design.

Similar to items that are popular for Japanese market.

Machine done OK if it looks hand done.

Maybe someone living next to a batik factory and can point me in the right direction!

Thanks for the reply. Definitely being done in Chiang Mai as I am buying clothing with it already. Trouble is I need to source the batik as person producing the clothing has workmanship that is inconsistent/not up to scratch. As well as that need to specify batik design "at source" otherwise designs often not right for customer tastes.

Really frustrating as clothes sell like hot cakes.
