WitawatWatawit
This has to be the extreme end of Viagra use. Just been reading a story on a foreign website about a Colombian man who took too much viagra to impress his g/f and ended up having his penis amputated. Ouch.He was 66 years old. Forced to seek medical attention when his erection lasted several days. Doctors in his hometown of Gigante (I'm not making this up) were puzzled by his condition. He was referred to a medical facility in Naiva, where it was noted his penis was inflamed, fractured and displaying signs of gangrene.Double ouch. I've heard that priapism can be pretty painful, but I've never heard of it being taken to this extreme.
HeijoshinCool
Saw a twenty-something in Sukhumvit. Came into the pharmacy, asked for 3 Cialis, dry swallowed them, threw the money on the counter and strode out. Pharmacist shook his head. "Same thing every night." The more you take it, the more you need it.
FiftyTwo
OP sounds like an old wives tale. Can't see how it could have that effect. Heart attack (someone with heart/blood pressure problems) ..... yes. Impotence (after long term abuse)........ yes. Gangrene ........ no. Gangrene is caused by infection or lack of blood to an area causing tissue death. Viagra increases flow of blood to that area. Fractured penis, if untreated can cause impotence or deformity, not gangrene. FAKE! Edited November 17, 2013 by FiftyTwo
Sceptict11
A nonsense post although abuse of these medications can indeed have serious consequences.
bunnydrops
Not so fast. Blood is also restricted from leaving. If the blood stays long enough I think gangrene could set in. Here's one site for starters: http://www.ehealthme.com/ds/viagra/gangrene Have a nice day.
Sheryl
The fracture likely resulted from ill advised efforts to deal with the sustained erection. A fracture anywhere in the body can cause gangrene if (1) bone fragments and tissue swelling compress circulation and (2) the patient does not seek medical help early enough.
