I know this is quite a popular cheap and cheerful restaurants with a number of expats as well as tourists.

If you use the place you will know Goong, the large lady that has worked there for several years. Sadly she collapsed this morning inside the restaurant. A few people administered CPR whilst waiting for the ambulance but she was taken away looking pretty lifeless.

She is currently on life support at Vachira Hospital but is apparently brain-dead. They are just waiting for the family to arrive. I saw her this afternoon and it was hard to believe what they said as she had colour in her face (unlike this morning) and was snoring. The saddest part is she's only 26.

I know a number of posters on here will know Mamma Noi and Goong and that's why I posted.

Yes. But it's still kept the name and practically the same menu.

Very sad news,i eat there,and get take aways there maybe once a week,have known Goong for 8 years or more,always takes time out to have a chat when I go with the family,and always takes the time to play/chat with my son.I thought it was strange that it was closed when I passed earlier.

It's closed today as Koo and Rang are at the hospital. I can give you any info you want via PM but I'll update as soon as I hear any more..

Goong sadly passed away at 9:35 this evening. My girlfriend has just returned from the hospital with the news. They were good friends.
