Budget Terminal - Singapore

Just flew in and out of the new budget terminal at Changi airport.

Very impressive. My Tiger airways flight left for Phuket at 07:00 hrs. I was afraid that the duty free shops and cafes would not be open (just like terminal 1 & 2).

Everything was open and I managed to get my usual three bottles of Mount Gay rum.

All in all a very efficient and pleasing terminal. Heard many other passengers say that they were surprised how good it was.

Only one airline using it presently, but, I think it will get very popular.

Did you buy any food to bring on board the Tiger flight? Wonder why they have O'Briens there if they didn't allow you to do takeaway.

Why would I want to eat on the plane?

Eat at the excellent cafes in the terminal before the flight.

The food in the terminal cafe before you go through immigration is outrageously cheap compared to terminals 1 & 2.

I had a gourmet egg mayonaise salad sandwich in whole-meal bread for S$1.80. Very reasonable.

Kewl thanks SirBurr.. just wondering if I could smuggle a bottle of Champers with gourmet cheese dips.... to instantly add a touch of class to a drab budget flight..

Sir Burr does the airport sky train run through low cost terminal, which connects terminal one & two?

Yeah Tiger Airways allowed us to bring our own food..Accept for Air Asia which they forbiden anyone to brinf food now...

Was at the Budget terminal yesterday and its looking good.. Oh yeah Obriens cafe there served nice selection of food too... Oh and they have 7'eleven in the passanger terminal too lol

And the best this is that they have free internet usage for all passengers at the Budget Terminal

The Budget terminal Skytrain does not connect to the other teminals..But you can hop in a Free Shuttle Bus services to the other terminals/... Very interesting

I used to live at Mount Gay. Right next to the refinery. I could walk into the refinery 10 steps from my front door. Beautiful place.

I also flew in and out of Singapore on Saturday and found the budget terminal to be very good indeed.

I was told that The First Budget terminal in the world is in Malaysia, They beat Singapore only by a couple of days on openings...
