I have a Non O Multiple entry visa which expires on 04 June 2014.....When do i need to apply for a years extension of stay?...Also,On what date do i need to transfer money to my Thai bank account for seasoning? I have always renewed my "Non O" in the UK every year, but due to the changes in the rules, it would seem safer to get an extension than to risk not being allowed to re-enter the country after my next visit home.....Any help and/or advice would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

Immigration department is in Nathon on the road to the hospital. I would suggest you go and ask there to get the correct information. As what someone here might say could have changed.

You can do your extension during the last 30 days of any of your 90 day entries from visa.

Money must be in bank 60 days prior to date you apply for first extension based upon retirement then 90 days for next. For marriage to a Thai it is 60 days for every extension.

Don't ask them anything.

They will tell you the extension will cost you 5000 baht.

Prepare all paperwork and put the fee in an envelope marked 1.900 baht.

Also Samui immigrations insists on have the money seasoned for 3 months every year for extension based on marriage.

Are you getting extension based on marriage or retirement?
