Capsinoids (from non-spicy peppers) may be helpful in preventing/fighting obesity

Featured Replies

The idea that HOT peppers increase metabolism probably isn't new to most people, but this I think will be new to most. The theory that not-hot peppers (such as standard bell peppers) may be specifically helpful in preventing and less so reversing obesity.

I try to eat hot chilies everyday because I love their taste and know they're healthy, but I haven't been eating bell peppers all that regularly.

For some reason, I have been under the impression that yellow and red bell peppers are more nutritious than green ones. Not sure why I think that.

Interesting,

Just as a side note JT I recently started juicing (Tropo too if you read his thread) Do you do that too ? I am talking vegetable juices not fruit as for those of us worried about our diet its better to eat whole fruits then juicing them.

I must say I am feeling better but could be placebo, I always took vitamins and such but I was starting to believe that "normal" vitamins are better so I thought to give juicing a try. So far with good results (energy wise).

I am convinced eating vegetables and stuff are a good way to get healthy.

They definitely make me sweat. Ill have to look into this, I also heard something similar about curry and thermogenic properties
