Depends what part of the country your from. I used Hilderbrands of Herne Bay. Great service. Most of them cost around 3,500 sterling. That includes packing, all paperwork, shipping and delivery at the other end. You will probably have to make a customs statement. Remember though put all imports in a Thais name to avoid duty.

Moving soon from UK to Hua Hin. Can anyone recommend a household removal firm?

Thanks

Been looking myself , here's a link (http://www.freightworld1.co.uk/page27.html ) to a company I found, it will give you an idea of cost, I haven't contacted them yet as I am not ready until end of year (I think).

I agree recomendation's is better, but I can't help with that.

Steve.

Pickfords. Doubtless they will sub contract this end and sort out an agent to agree a price to be paid to those thieving bastards masquerading as Customs officers.

Whoever you choose, make sure everything is packed in your home, so you can see that it's done properly, and get 'all risks' insurance . When I shipped my stuff here they took it back to their depot to pack it, when it arrived in LOS my computer, printer and stereo system were damaged beyond repair due to extremely poor packing. It took me 6 months to get the money out of the insurance company, mainly due to obstruction by the removal company. I attached a very strong complaint to the claim papers, wrote the fact that I had attached it on the claim form, and asked the insurance company to contact me directly if my complaint had 'gone missing', as I had to give the forms to the removal company.

For the life of me I can't remember the name of the removers, but they're on Aldwick road in Bognor Regis. If your from Bognor PM me!
