stopthegreed
I know it can be problematic, for a Philippino lady to leave there to come to Thailand, but what if she posted me her passport and i got her an education visa here. Can they still spto her at PL imigration ?
lopburi3
First of all you can not obtain and ED visa here - they are issued by Thai Consulates outside of Thailand. Second the visa is not what they are concerned with (airline would never have checked her in without her meeting travel requirements) but they are concerned with illegal activities and a visa would prove nothing - at best it could be part of her proof of study but as it would likely be issued illegally as evidenced by no stamps into or out of country issued it will likely result in her immediate arrest. Not a good start to a new life.
ubonjoe
The best way to insure that she has no problem leaving is doing an affidavit of support at the Philippine embassy in Bangkok. This was suggested by Philippine immigration officer in a topic about this problem. Info here: http://www.bangkokpe.com/consular/services/affidavit-of-support/ You can download affidavit here: http://www.bangkokpe.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/19.-Affidavit-of-Support.pdf You would not be able to get a ED visa here but could help by getting her enrolled in a school that would supply the documents needed to apply for a ED visa at the embassy in Manila. slipperylobster
Same requirements for Filipino or Filipina..(in your case). Not hard at all, but just do the requirements. Look at the Immigration Web site in Manila (yes they do but information online for that purpose). Requirements do change periodically, and sometimes it is possible to get pulled aside just before leaving, for additional requirements ($). How do I know.... 18 years in the Philippines, married a Filipina....and have two children there...and one daughter (36yrs old) I brought to the states. There is a class she must attend for a week or so...cannot give you the details, just google it. Affidavits of Support are good, as are proof of where she will be staying. Hey..its the Philippines! They just don't get to leave because they have a passport...too many hands in the pot. Hey, they make good wives...so go ahead and marry her, but she sure is going to be lonely here. I have a friend or brought his filipina girl here (they are married)...the daughter is Filipina but only speaks Thai and English... The mom cannot communicate with anyone..for lack of the Thai language... Her english is ok. She needs to take her daughter to the market and to pay the bills so she can translate. Also, she cannot "Guarantee" stuff like a Thai wife can.... for credit, drivers licenses, even phone company monthly services.
