What the heck are they on about a "modified Motor bike" so what ?? was anything modified on the pick up ??? did the motor bike have 6 wheels-does it matter if it was painted pink with yellow spots.

If the bike was modified within the law.... then good no need to mention it, if it was not fit to be on the road publish it.

"Mr. Nimit Intrhom, 28, the father of the boy, and his brother, an eight-year-old boy, were severely injured................"

On reading this, can we assume there were three people on the "modified" motorbike?

The father of the boy, the one killed, and his 8 year old brother were severely injured.

R,I,P. to the kid and I hope the other two recover soon, although severely sounds................severe.

Please stay on the topic. We are all quite well aware that the standard of English is not the best. We are also aware that not everyone's questions have been answered.

It's a tragic loss of life and that's what the topic is about; not the standard of English, translation, or reporting.

Thanks.

Time for proper enforcement of teaching how to drive on the roads here in Thailand. Some of my old students have driven past me waving and they are not old enough to have a licence for a car. The police do nothing to stop this or correct this problem. I just can not understand how Thai people, especially parents who let their kids drive their cars and dimiss this as a daily event and do not try and fix this problem.
