When I first visited these shores, it didn't take long for me to become tired of answering the "where you come from" question, first it was England, Liverpool.... it then got "me white man, me come from big metal bird in sky" and eventually lapsed in to "I was born in the wagon of a travelling show"

I still use that one on occasion to be honest, not really relevant to Thailand apart from a personal level, but the puzzled looks it got still make me smirk.... can't beat a good smirk.

After some careful deliberation and with all due respect to my old friend Roger

Hodgson & his song Take the Long Way Home which describes my life to a "T"

because I'm still on that road & may never leave it...Heaven forbid!

I have finally decided that 2 songs may have been written with Thailand in

mind....however...I kinda doubt it...although these two songs; one theme

song and one "proper" song, fit this fine nation and all it's denizens;

both foreign & domestic, perfectly.

Just keep the first song, take out a lotta db, playing under the second song

for full effect and you should get the message...
