Except that the place is full of Paddys.

Yeah, but they thin out a bit when there is some major civil engineering project under way in the UK. biggrin.png

Ireland is one of my favourite countries in the world. First place I went to when I could finally afford a trip from Canada (US doesn't count). Brilliant music, beautiful countryside, great whisky and beer, and very warm people. Always wished I had some Irish in my DNA. Just found out this year (when I got my DNA sequenced) that I likely have a smidgen... but just that.

I very much doubt if GBK is German .99% of the Germans i met ,who have been to Ireland love Ireland and the Irish .The Irish have a soft spot for and most admire the Germans .

I agree. German national myself. Lived in Dublin before, teaching German language, ok, long time ago. Irish Music, Friendship, Hospitality - Great!

I simply love Irish Music - Planxty, Chieftains, Sean O'Riada, Bothy Band. Had many friends in Dublin, very beautiful people.

After living in Thailand for ten years by now I wish to see Ireland again before I die.

Irish people, don't let yourselves be deceived by EU-SSR seated in Brussels.

Do your best to get out of this scam regime.

Free Ireland! and Free Germany!

Best regards to all friends

Not sure about U boat pens but the Republic of Ireland was neutral during WW2 .( they really had no other choice though ) .Many men from the South did join the British Army during the war .

Who could miss Dublin? What a dump. It has the highest crime rate in Europe. I went on a tour round the city on a tourist bus and the commentator announced the highlight of the tour.......a view of the Guiness brewery! There must be something seriously wrong with a city that can only boast about a brewery.

Yes.there were German submarines docked in Ireland during WW2 which proves Ireland was not neutral during WW2. They were on the side of the Germans. They cannot be neutral anymore now they are in the European Union. They cannot receive all the financial benifits and hand-outs then when anything nasty like a war starts claim they are neutral.
