Where Can I Buy A Used Tuk-tuk?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can buy a used Daihatsu-type light pickup, as used for Phuket Tuk-tuks?

A scruffy piece of junk will do, so long as it starts (with a price to match of course!), since I intend to throw it away after a year’s use moving light building materials.

Any seats etc to be removed as I want to use it in the original pickup configuration.

I have one of these in the UK, used primarily as a powered garden wheelbarrow: it’s hugely useful piece of kit.

ps I do NOT want an Isuzu or other heavy, large pickup.

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ps Pedant’s corner: I use the term 'Tuk tuk' loosely. I don't mean a three-wheeled, real tuk-tuk. I mean what’s really a sing-thiaw, but which for some reason is called a tuk-tuk in Phuket.

Hi J

Tuk tuk's are hard to find in cheap buys as they are hardvalue for the thais, a ten year old one still stays over 150k a new one for 370k.
