after yrs of trying different beef i have finely found the best at a realistic price,PON-YANG-KHAM i challenge anybody to find better.

fish has been the hardest to find after being a lover of cod, haddock, plaice,i finely found one that would be hard to beat for price and taste in the uk.i had been put off buying fresh fish after trying some farmed vile muck tasting red fish, but i tried some sea bass from makro well the taste and quality is second to none and at 130bht.a kilo whole we bought 2 had them filleted each one weighing 330grams came to 303bht.

next on the list is a good tasteing chicken so far home fresh is ahead.

I live near the Thai-French beef company (maybe the name has changed nowadays) in Sakon Nakhon, we take a drive down there and buy it straight from the knackers yard. Quality beef.

its the same company but make sure the meat has their stamp on it.

as beef must have some fat on it for flavour their's has the right amount.

once a month my dog has a sirlion steak for a treat he loves it.

I don't think you can know what a Knackers Yard is. tongue.png

Beef Pro remains the largest and best supplier of beef in Thailand. I have sold their products for 17 years. They sell only to distributors.

Well if its the same place we're going in about, they have a small counter for walk inns. The place is in Sakon Nakhon. I've been along there many times.

I have been buying PON-YANG-KHAM beef from Villa Market and Fresh Mart for a number of years, so perhaps many are buying, eating and enjoying without realising or bothering to find out the product name. One downside and I hope I will be corrected but my understanding is that all PON-YANG-KHAM beef has been slaughtered according to MK regulations which I consider to be unnecessary and cruel when the vast majority of consumers are non Muslim.

as a lover of haddock its impossible to get a better tasting fish, ask any yorkshireman.

what i have been missing is what we call in the uk.yellow haddock its coloured with liquid smoke.

i was watching a fish supplier on ausie tv.the other night and he was smoking barramundi fillets, the wife said those are the same ones we bought at makro sold and known as sea bass,so yesterday i brushed a fillet with liquid smoke left it for 3hrs.then poached it,was it nice?

nobody got a wiff even my beloved was dribbling,so thats another of my favourite food found in th.

i see someone has been looking for a replacement for herrings,i am working on that [smoked kippers] in mind.
